About Me and This Space

I’ve lived in many places, often changing jobs or addresses every couple of years, but my roots run deep in the people I love. My faith shapes my life, my work, and my care for how systems impact children and youth. I come alive speaking Swahili, laughing with kids, and showing up for people—because love, for me, is presence more than presents.

This blog is where my passions meet purpose. Here you’ll find reflections and practical tools for living with intention, growing in faith, and building deeper community. Think of it as the place where the “aroma” you carry meets the message you share—leaving traces of hope, kindness, and purpose wherever you go.

I’m an ordained deacon in the ELCA, now serving in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada (ELCIC) as Assistant to the Bishop in the MNO Synod. My work brings together my passions and skills in faith formation, communication, early childhood education, and leadership to help individuals and communities grow in their faith and share it meaningfully with the world.

When I’m not working, you’ll probably find me exploring local coffee shops, wandering walking trails, daydreaming about being a nature photographer, hanging out with friends and their kids, or binge-watching delightfully cheesy movies and shows. If there’s one thing I hope people say about me, it’s that I’m “relentlessly consistent in appreciating the social ritual of hot beverages—no matter the circumstances.”
