Cultivating Delight: a Year of Growth & Generosity

This year, as I approach a birthday, I’m choosing a different kind of journey—not a list of goals, but a rhythm of living intentionally.

I want to cultivate delight. To notice the small and the extraordinary. To create, to explore, to stretch, and to rest. To trust that what I generate—through creativity, presence, and generosity—can ripple outward in ways I may never fully see.

Over the next twelve months, I’ll be stepping into 45 experiences across nine areas of life: exploration, creativity, rest and delight, courage and stretch, relationships, spiritual practice, body and movement, service, and learning. Some will be simple pleasures: savoring a donut, reading in a coffee shop, or getting ice cream in a new town. Others will stretch me: dressing up for a night out, trying a new creative skill, or camping alone under the open sky. Each one is a chance to pay attention, grow, and share in some way with the world around me.

I hope this year will be about more than checking boxes and just holding steady. It’s about noticing what is alive, practicing gratitude for it, and leaning into moments that expand love, joy, and freedom—for myself and for others.

Here’s to cultivating delight—one small, intentional act at a time.
